Auroch defines new nickel sulphide target at Valdez
TheWest - Auroch Minerals has defined a new nickel sulphide target near Leinster in WA, with drilling over the Valdez prospect highlighting a previously unrecognised ultramafic channel over 150 metres of strike that looks to be harbouring an untested moving loop electromagnetic, or MLEM target at depth. The company is now planning a follow up RC drilling program over the deeper target at the prospect, with drilling set to kick off in the coming weeks.
The Valdez project forms part of Auroch’s Leinster nickel project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields. The tenement is located 40km to the southeast of BHP’s world-class Leinster nickel mining centre and lies directly along strike from the Waterloo nickel sulphide deposit.
